The Sako 85 Long Range is a top quality rifle, however I feel it’s true potential was let down by the Burris Eliminator III. After repeated attempts I could only manage to shoot a 1.4″ 5 shot group at 100 yards. This rifle has a 1 MOA minimum 5-shot guarantee so I know the rifle is capable of better. The setup I had was on loan from Beretta Australia, so I didn’t have another optic to test it with. I personally feel that when buying a rifle of this quality, I would be putting a Schmidt & Bender or something of similar quality on top.
