The Ruger American rifles continue to impress me as a budget rifle that just simply works. The Ranch model using mini-30 magazines easily put 3 shots into half an inch @ 100 yards, so I don’t know what more you could possibly ask for from a budget hunting rifle? I had no issues with the rifle whatsoever.
